2012

ANNOUNCING: FATHERLAND EP
we’re recording an ep next week. pending matt’s ok, it will be called FATHERLAND. six songs, or maybe five, we don’t know yet. it’ll be out around february 28. a limited amount of 12” vinyl will be available at our west coast dates with cloud nothings.
the songs are:
1. What A Mess
2. Palace Complex
3. Fatherland
4. Slow Learner
5. Believing and Shitting
6. Whichever song is internally referred to as “Stiffarm vs. Heisman”
you heard ‘what a mess’, ‘palace complex’, and ‘believing and shitting’ on the fall tour. citizens of pontiac have the honor of being the only people to have heard ‘slow learner’.
the songs are weirder and darker, more in the vein of stuff like “trash hit”, “learn the language”, “moneybags”, and “scarred for life”. sexier and woozier than that sounds though. production-wise i’ve changed my entire setup since ‘trash hit’, from pres to mics to converters to outboard to monitors. adam has a new guitar rig, courtesy of our patron saint chris ott. we’re also just a lot better at this shit than we were a year ago.
